Bravo milks Project Runway for an extra week
The second season of Project Runway has turned out to be such a cash cow for Bravo that they've decided to milk it for an extra week. The show, hosted by Heidi Klum, now will include a special reunion episode on Wednesday, February 22 at 10pm - and the season finale is being extended to two hours airing over two weeks. They're elated, I'm annoyed. Watch as Bravo President Lauren Zalaznick tries to pass the move off as community service:
She says, "Enough people have said, literally, 'I don't know what I'm going to do when Runway ends!', that we've made the decision to help them by extending the run!" As if that wasn't enough, they're loading the finale with interactive cell phone poll questions for your chance to win a video iPod. Yeah, I'll still be tuning in on March 1 and March 8th, to find out who is running with the world's fashion elite at Olympus Fashion Week, but Lauren, don't try to pretend like you're doing us a favor.

How are they milking it for an extra week? The did a reunion show prior to the finale last season as well. The only difference so far is that there were more episodes because there were more designers.

Lauren must think we came down in the last rain shower...please don't say you're helping us, Lauren, when you're really helping yourself and Bravo with the extra advertising $.
