Time time time, see what's become of me
Hi People! Many of you probably don't know that Queer Day is not my day job, but strictly a free time avocation. For the past ten years I've been gainfully employed as Director of Education and Prevention for a non-profit AIDS service organization. Earlier this month I gave notice and on January 30th, my ten year anniversary to the day, I'll be celebrating not only a decade of memories, challenges and accomplishments, I'll also be celebrating new beginnings. While I don't know exactly what is next, I do know that I'm excited. Dismantling a major area of my life and passing on a decade's worth of work and information is, at times like the present, completely monopolozing my life. Soon this transition will be over and I will be a free man.

Congratulations, Philo! Change is always good. Blazing your own trail is always harder than following a worn path, so be patient with yourself over the next few months. It is where you are going that counts, not how long it takes you to get there. God Bless.

Well, I for one knew you had a "real job" outside Queerday (you've mentioned it in the past), and I truly appreciate all the effort and time you've put into this site. It has become one of my regular sources for gay news, and (unlike SOME other sites) I appreciate how you provide a link to your original sources. Great job, buddy! :D
As for the upcoming changes in your life, I wish you all the best. I am planning on a major upheaval in my own life come spring, complete with a possible move half-way across the continent, so I can empathize. Best wishes!

Hey! Thanks you guys. You're the bestest. I just spent another super long kickass day at the office wrapping things up and tomorrow (Monday, January 30th) is my ten year anniversary, my last day of work - and I have all the loose ends tied. There's a big send off bash tomorrow night. I'm gonna take Tuesday off and sleep for like 24 hours. And if all goes as planned Queer Day will be back and rolling Wednesday morning Katie.
