Russell T. Davies named most influential figure
Queer As Folk creator Russell T. Davies has been named the most influential figure in broadcasting by industry magazine The Stage. Davies brought Doctor Who back last year and scored a ratings hit with his updated version of the sci-fi story. The Stage said of Davies, "The man has achieved the almost impossible and transformed Doctor Who for a cynical 21st-century audience and made them fall in love with it again. Of course adding John Barrowman as the bisexual Captain Jack helped.
