Rikers Island gay trans dorm to close

New York: One of the nation's few jail dormitories specifically for gay or trans prisoners is closing on Rikers Island, prompting complaints from some activists. With only 56 inmates left in the unit, it could be shut entirely within the next few weeks, the department said.

So sad, but what can you expect? Nothing, but prejudices and discrimination. They can separate the prisoners, due
to gang control, racial issues, etc.

I'm sure there is an underlying reason for this.
Called let's satisfy the heterosexual male inmates.
