Bella Evangelista's killer pleads guilty
Antoine Jacobs, 24, is facing 12 to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of transgender nightclub performer Bella Evangelista, pictured. Evangelista was shot and killed by Jacobs after he learned that she was biologically male. Jacobs escaped a life sentence by pleading guilty to second-degree murder.

I am a correctional Officer where Mr. Jacobs is being presently housed. I was absolutely floored to learn that he was involved with the senseless murder of Ms. Bella Evangelista. Jacobs carries himself as a Christian, and a model prisoner, but it is obvious that he has a dark and troubled side.
Unfortunately, his plea-bargain to second-degree murder. I find it astonishing that the most he will receive is between twelve to twenty-four years. What an outrage. Ms. Bella life was worth much more than a measly twelve to twenty-four years. This is truly a travesty of our legal system to allow a confessed murder to gain an opportunity to view daylight while he is still somewhat young.
