Lesbian bar bomber Eric Rudolph apologized to the people maimed or killed by a pipe bomb packed in nails that he planted amid a crowd at an outdoor concert during the 1996 Olympics. It was the first visible sign of remorse from Rudolph who was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences as well as 120 years in prison for the three bombings in Atlanta and one in Birmingham, Alabama between 1996 and 1998. There was no apology for his second and third bombings - an abortion clinic and the gay nightclub.
