Simon Martin's transvestite ways don't upset Edna Townsend
Simon Martin, a 31-year-old organ enthusiast who married Edna Townsend, a 70-year-old pensioner and grandmother, lived a secret life as a transvestite called Sarah. Edna's response to the controversy? "If he wants to dress up in a green caterpillar suit with pink flip flops what does it matter. I don't give a monkey's." The couple have a framed picture of Simon in make-up wearing one of Edna's dresses in the front room of their UK home in Worle, Somerset. Martin and Townsend, who've been under public scrutiny due to the age difference in their relationship, discussed his taste for cross-dressing before they decided to get married.
