San Diego Gay Pride sex offenders resign
Two volunteers and a staffer working on this weekend's Gay Pride festival in San Diego have resigned after police and community groups threatened to pull out. The criminal backgrounds of the two volunteers were made public two weeks ago by James Hartline, a right wing activist, while the staff person later disclosed his conviction to festival officials. All three are apparently registered sex offenders. The Pride board is will institute new screening procedures for volunteers and staff who work the event.
