Arthur Teele commits suicide over transsexual prostitute scandal
Remember the Arthur Teele transsexual prostitute scandal? The politically humiliated former Miami commissioner walked into the lobby of The Miami Herald building Wednesday evening where he pulled a gun from a green canvas bag, shook the security guard's hand and asked him to relay a message before shooting himself in the head. He died less than two hours later at Jackson Memorial Hospital. What was the message? Security guard Felix Nazco explained, "He said to tell (Herald columnist Jim) DeFede to tell his wife he loves her.
