elton john Elton John has been honored by the Pennsylvania city of Philadelphia, being honored with their first ever Brotherly Love award for his work over the years on behalf of those living with HIV/AIDS. Mayor John Street presented the honor as students from First Philadelphia Charter School serenaded the crowd with the Elton John song that has become the city's anthem - Philadelphia Freedom. "I am truly proud to be here as a British person who loves America so much," John said. Then John posed for photos with a local man living with HIV outside the GLBT's William Way Community Center and the street sign there was changed to Elton's Way.
