Judge rejects gay outing threat by detectives claims
Scotland: Claims that detectives forced witnesses to lie at a murder trial by threatening to expose them as gay were rejected by appeal judges yesterday. The decision was a severe setback for Stuart Gair, 42, who has campaigned for 16 years to clear his name after being found guilty of a vicious stabbing in 1989.
