Bavaria seeks to stop gay adoptions like Patrick Lindner's
The state of Bavaria has filed a lawsuit in Germany's highest court in an effort to stop a new law allowing gay and lesbian couples to adopt children. Bavarian governor Edmund Stoiber, a member of the conservative Christian Social Union (CSU), says his state government is taking a case to the Federal Constitutional Cour in an attempt to reverse the law. Basically they think adoption should be reserved for married people, although single gay people can adopt kids. German singer Patrick Lindner, pictured with his partner Michael Link, is crazy about his adopted son. "Daniel is like my own flesh and blood," he says.
