Bay Area acts of bias against gays increased 7% last year
San Francisco: Reported incidents of bias against Bay Area gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people increased 7 percent in 2004, according to CUAV. 53 reported anti-gay incidents occured in the Mission District alone.
