Transgender women demand speedy treatment in West Yorkshire

trans trio A transgender trio desperately wanting to make the change have begged West Yorkshire health to speed up their treatment and free them from depression and stress. Currently the gender dysphoric face a long wait for even a first appointment at the region's only gender identity clinic in Leeds, leaving them anxious and taking potentially dangerous hormone drugs for sometimes years at a time without medical supervision. Claire Eastwood, pictured left, was told the earliest she will be seen by the Leeds clinic is September 2007 even though her request was filed last year. Leeds Today
