Three men convicted in Micah Painter gay attack
In Washington state, three Whatcom County men were convicted of felony malicious harassment and assault in an attack on a Seattle gay man, Micah Painter, pictured. Vadim Samusenko, 21, David Kravchenko, 20, and Yevgeniy Savchak, 18, were driving in a truck and spotted Painter and began yelling homophobic slurs at the 24-year-old Painter who was celebrating Seattle Pride. The trio asked Painter if he was gay before breaking a vodka bottle and slicing Painter's face, shoulder and back, all the while punching him. Samusenko faces 31 to 35 months in prison. Kravchenko and Savchak each face nine to 15 months. KIRO
