Gay drunk driver Daniel McMullen murdered in jail
Jail officials are investigating the death of Daniel McMullen, jailed on a drunk driving conviction last year. He fell into a coma after a fight over a deck of cards, allegedly with burglary suspect Dennis Hadley. McMullen, who was gay and arrested on his second drunk driving charge, had been moved to a new cell after complaining that other inmates were urinating on his bed. As a detainee, not an inmate, Hadley shouldn't have been in McMullen's cell to begin with, but the jail is overcrowded. The sheriff wants Hadley charged with second-degree murder.
