Trans prisoner Michelle Kosilek files new papers
Michelle Lynne Kosilek, the transgender convicted killer who strangled wife Cheryl to death in 1990, has filed new court papers to faciliate her stalled prison transition. Kosilek, whose cause has at times been a focal point for disagreement in the trans community, said that "Without judicial intervention, this delay and plaintiff's suffering will continue indefinitely." Two years ago, U.S. District Court Judge Mark L. Wolf found the Department of Corrections failed to properly treat Kosilek who attempted self-castration with a shoestring and suicide. It's obvious she needs the judge ordered help. Her treatment has been precarious at best.

Robert (Michelle) Kosilek had ample opportunities to have his sex reassignment surgery prior to his incarceration. Now that he's in prison for murdering his wife--we, the taxpayers of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, should now pay for his sex change? Right now, we are paying for his electrolysis, hormone injections and psychotherapy, and are being told we could possibly have to pay for his surgery (including rhinoplasty). That having been said, my boyfriend, a corrections officer, has not had a raise in three years--so who does he have to kill around here to get what HE wants? Where is the justice??

"She" is in prison because "she" murdered "her" wife by strangulation. If "she" ends up in a women's prison as a result of a sex change, they REALLY had better confiscate "her" shoelaces.

I am a transsexual woman, and I've talked about this with many friends. We all doubt that this person is even really a woman in their heart. I hate to say it, but you can usually just look at someone and tell. Whether they're pretty or not, you can see if they have a woman's heart. And in any case, we don't think they deserve a sex change or much of anything else. Just another crazy who thinks they can smear on some lipstick and make everyone accept them as female. Like we need another Silence of the Lambs type!
