Capleton dumped from Boston show; arrest warrant for Buju Banton

The latest reggae homophobe to be dropped from a U.S. show is Capleton, whose songs include references to shooting and burning gay men. The ironically named "OneLove Reggae Harborfest" will go on without him. WCVB-TV (Ch. 5) is one of the sponsors of the FleetBoston Pavilion season. Spokeswoman Caroline Shaw told the Herald, "This is the first we've heard of any of this, and we're looking into the matter." Promoter Clear Channel wasn't returning calls.

Meanwhile, police in Jamaica confirm that another reggae artist in hot water over murder music, Buju Banton, is the subject of an arrest warrant in a home invasion/gay bashing back home. So that stuff about it being a metaphor ... not so much. UK Gay News
