An exhibit in an Alaska high school received a few complaints from parents just as it was packing up. The exhibit, "Out and Elected in the U.S.A." featured openly gay and lesbian elected officials with pictures and stories about their lives. Anchorage Daily News
A Christian group will protest the upcoming Gay Day at Walt Disney World by showing photos of purportedly lewd men from last year's event. The group is trying to influence lawmakers to crack down on public indecency in the park. WFTV
San Diego's West Hill High School held a forum to discuss the acceptance of gays and lesbians in their high school, as well as the use of the word gay in a perjorative sense. The high school dedicated a whole week to awareness of the problems within their school. San Diego Union-Tribune
Lily Tomlin will headline the VIIe Festival International which will take place in mid July in Montreal, Canada. The festival is the largest GLBT performing arts festival in the world and will host over 164 choruses from around the world. Canada News Wire
Four same-sex couples joined in a commitment ceremony for the Pride Festival in Charlotte, North Carolina, this weekend. A handful of protestors stood by helpless while the couples pronounced their love for each other. Boca Raton News
Mothers from the pro-gay group Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) spoke to the Democratic Club of Boca Raton, Florida in order to press issues for their children including marriage and adoption rights. Nice to hear it coming from our mothers, and not just us! Boca Raton News
