In New Hampshire last-minute preparations are under way for the consecration of the first gay . Canon Gene Robinson reports he is happy and relaxed and looking forward to tomorrow's ceremony, one expected to be attended by supporters and opponents of his consecration. Daily Camera

In Iqaluit, Nunavut, a Canadian territory, several Nunavut MLAs are calling on the territorial government to denounce gay and lesbian marriages. Paul Okalik, the territory's premier, says the decision is in the hands of the federal government, but some MLAs want more action. "Everybody out there or most everybody is opposed to this legislation." North CBC

A new poll shows most in Arizona oppose gay and lesbian marriages. Fifty-four percent of those surveyed by Northern Arizona University's Social Research Laboratory are opposed, while 53 percent favor gay and lesbian s that would give them the same rights and benefits as married heterosexual couples.
