Court tells Colorado mom not to share homophobia with daughter
Cheryl Clark was raising her daughter with her partner, Elsey McLeod, when she got religion and decided she wasn't a lesbian after all. A Colorado judge gave the women joint custody of the girl and told Clark to "make sure that there is nothing in the religious upbringing or teaching that the minor child is exposed to that can be considered homophobic."
