Surely schools in Denmark already offer benefits for same-sex partners. Actually this article is about Denmark, Wisconsin, where the school district and employee unions are just starting to talk about the issue. School employees in state capital Madison already have the benefit. "The reason behind it is equal opportunity, looking for a benefits package that is more equitable for all employees," says Melissa Dupke, one of the teachers who made the request.
