Gephardts join P-FLAG
Democratic presidential hopeful Dick Gephardt announced Wednesday that he and his wife, Jane, have joined Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. The Gephardts' daughter, Chrissy, is gay and works on his presidential campaign. "It's clear that the Gephardts understand the importance of fairness and inclusion for all," said David Tseng, executive director of P-FLAG, which has 250,000 members. Gephardt's campaign spokeswoman Kim Molstre says Gephardt believes that gay people should have equal legal status under federal law. Well, mostly.
